Finishing Up the Year!

2013 was an amazing year for me...not so much for Hope's Sweet Cakes. I took a good long break from cake making for the birth of my third baby boy. I so enjoyed my time with him without the stress or worry over creating perfect works of art (as I feel each and every cake just has to be). We also purchased a new (to us) house that had to be completely over hauled. I painted every inch of this thing, top to bottom. I am talking ceilings, trim, walls, window frames, doors....everything. We moved and got settled in. Just as things started to settle down a bit, I picked back up with the cakes. I hadn't realized how much I missed it until I started back. It is truly a blessing that God has gifted me with the ability to do such a fun, rewarding job. I have the sweetest, most encouraging clients a person could ever ask for. I am blessed!

Below are my final cakes of the year. "In Joy" as my son would say!

Chevron Baby Gender Neutral Baby Shower Cake

Ballon Cake

Monster Truck Cake

Thanksgiving Teepee Cake

  1. This is a fabulous idea... I have tried this method and it works great. This is one of the prettiest of these types of cakes I've seen! The color is beautiful, too!! Thanks so much for sharing this technique. Really, you did a fantastic job!
